Groundhogs plus 100th Day Freebie-What I'm Teaching This Week.

Hey everyone! Hope you have been enjoying your weekend. It is in  the mid 70's here this weekend so I plan to spend A LOT of time enjoying that sunshine!

This week is another crazy one for sure! I am only going to be in school on Monday and then out the rest of the week. I have tried to get everything ready to go for my assistant as much as I can. I hate being out and I am sure my lesson will not go the way I envision, but sometimes you just have to let go and hope for the best!

On Monday, we are going to dive into my Groundhog Unit. We will be reading many fiction and non-fiction stories this week.

We will also be predicting what will happen on Tuesday

This is our graph from last year. I like how some went against the popular vote ;)

To help teach about shadows, I found this CUTE craft on Pinterest that my kids will be making

click on the pic to see it on pinterest

We are going to measure the shadow and see how it changes as the day goes on. Then we will be using these writing templates to write all about it!

I am also using a bunch of these printables in my centers this week.

You can find all of these activities and more from my Groundhog printable set

We are also using some sentence scrambles from my February set to work on building complete sentence

My higher reading kids are also starting their first book study this week! To go along with our February topics, we are reading

I created some comprehension sheets for them to complete after reading each chapter

When I get back OF COURSE. it is the 100th Day! So I have printed and prepped a bunch of activities from my 100 Days Smarter set

I also made these cute certificates for my students

If you would like to use them too, just click  {{HERE}}

Hope you all have a great week and an awesome start to February!!
