St. Patrick's Day-What I'm Teaching This Week

When March hits the only thing most of us think about is how long til Spring Break right? My kids who go to a different school district are on vacation this week while I still have school :( BOOOO
The only plus side to it is when I am on break the following week I will be kid free ;) I do wish we had some time together to go see movies and enjoy the nice weather, but oh well it will have to wait.

Since we are not going to be in school during St. Patrick's Day we are having our Leprechaun fun this week.

This is Lenny.
He always comes to visit us and cause a little havoc during the week. For writing this week I will have a whole bunch of prompts about how to catch a leprechaun.

I can't wait to see what they come up with this year!

Here are some of the stories we will be hearing during the week too.

Jamie O'Rourke is a fun book to read. This week we are working on identifying problem and solution. So after reading the story we will create a problem solution anchor chart. Some other students will continue to work on story elements from this story.
I found a great set of activities from Jen Ross- Teacher By The Beach to also use this week

Of course our centers will have an Irish theme this week. Here are some of them

The print and go sheets are a freebie from my TPT store. Just click on the cover to grab them.

Do you have a leprechaun come and visit your classroom? I would love to hear all about yours in the comments below.

Wishing you all a great week and hope your Spring Break starts soon!
